Limitless Travel plans expansion with £800k investment

Disabled-friendly specialist Limitless Travel has raised £800,000 in funding to increase its product range, offer online bookings and expand into the US market.

Backers include entrepreneur Nigel Wray, who has been a shareholder in Domino’s Pizza, Saracens Rugby and Carlton Communications.

Limitless Travel said news of the investment “caps off one of the company’s most successful years of trading”.

Wray commented: “I’ve flown on countless airlines around the world for decades, yet I can’t ever remember seeing a disabled person on a flight.

“And it turns out that’s because most airlines just don’t bother because it’s one hell of an effort on their behalf.

“Limitless Travel, headed up by Angus Drummond, is going to change all that.”

Wray said between 40% and 50% of disabled people in the UK never go on holiday because of the stress of organising a trip – but Limitless Travel has a team of expert carers who travel with every trip to take care of arrangements for clients.

Angus Drummond, Limitless Travel chief executive, added: “We are thrilled and delighted to welcome Nigel Wray onto the Limitless Travel team. His investment will be fundamental in Limitless Travel achieving its mission of revolutionising travel for disabled people.

“After the difficulties caused by the Covid pandemic over the past two years, Limitless Travel is in a stronger position than ever, and we’re now able to provide a range of global destinations to our customers.

“We are on the path of achieving our vision of creating the world’s most accessible travel company for disabled people.”

Already in 2022, Limitless Travel has unveiled three cruises and added long-haul destinations such as South African Safari, the Caribbean and Thailand.
